LOUIS J. PEARLMAN, DEEMED AN UNDESIRABLE VISITOR WAS EXPELLED FROM INDONESIA, BY INDONESIAN AUTHORITIES AND TURNED OVER TO FBI AGENTS IN GUAM.

Tampa Division, today announced the arrest of Louis J. Pearlman.
Mr. Pearlman was escorted to the United States Territory of Guam and taken
into custody by FBI agents on June 14, 2007.
On March 2, 2007, a criminal complaint was issued in the United States District Court Middle District of Florida charging Mr. Pearlman with one count of Bank Fraud, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 1344 and 2.
Based upon information provided by the FBI, Indonesian National Police - Bali located Pearlman at a hotel in Nusa Dua Bali, Indonesia. Indonesian authorities deemed Mr. Pearlman an undesirable visitor and expelled him from Indonesia. Mr. Pearlman was escorted to the United States Territory of Guam by Agents of the FBI and the Indonesian National Police - Bali.
Mr. Pearlman will be afforded an Initial Appearance in Guam and will be returned to the Middle District of Florida to face charges.
This investigation was conducted in coordination with the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida and the assistance of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Florida State Department of Financial Affairs and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
A
complaint is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed a violation
of the Federal Criminal Laws and every defendant is presumed innocent
unless, and until, proven guilty.
