FBI AND CLEAR CHANNEL OUTDOOR TEAM UP TO CATCH CRIMINALS IN THE TAMPABAY AREATampa, Florida - Special Agent in Charge Steven E. Ibison today officially announced the start of a new partnership between the FBI and Clear Channel Outdoor. In a cooperative effort, Clear Channel Outdoor has agreed to publicize criminal fugitives on their digital billboard networks. The Tampa FBI office was one of four FBI field offices selected to commence the nationwide campaign. The Tampa FBI Field Office will coordinate with local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to profile wanted criminals. To date, there have been five local contributors – the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Clearwater Police Department, Pinellas Park Police Department, and the FBI. This resource has already led to the apprehension of two fugitives from justice and was recently utilized as an investigative tool to track the killer of a Philadelphia police officer. |
